Hyundai Electric, one of the world’s most distinguished global brands, has reaffirmed its confidence in the Turkish economy by extending its agreement with Türkiye for an additional five years. As a company with a strong international presence in energy management and power generation, Hyundai Electric visited Türkiye to review its 20-year partnership with its local business partner, Ruha Elektrik, and to renew their exclusive distributor agreement.
Following the meetings, Hyundai Electric announced that it has extended its cooperation with Ruha Elektrik until 2027. This decision not only strengthens the shared vision between the two companies but also places Türkiye’s energy infrastructure commitments on a more solid foundation. Under the renewed agreement, the partnership will focus on expanding collaboration in areas such as the use of renewable energy sources, increased energy efficiency, and enhancing Türkiye’s energy independence.
Hyundai Electric’s New Vision: Human Dynamics
Hines Lee, Hyundai Electric’s Sales Manager for Türkiye and the Middle East, emphasized that the company’s new vision, “Human Dynamics,” will play a key role in shaping a healthier and more sustainable energy future for Türkiye. He also stated that they will work more closely to ensure Hyundai Electric products are prioritized in major national energy projects, including the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.
Lee highlighted that the two companies will continue to cooperate closely in the efficient use of energy resources, improving energy efficiency, and strengthening energy independence. He also reiterated their commitment to supporting Türkiye’s national energy strategies.
Finally, he noted that the world is transitioning from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0—an era where autonomous systems will redefine manufacturing. In line with this global shift, Hyundai Electric has invited the Ruha Elektrik delegation to Korea to discuss future energy investments in Türkiye in greater detail, signaling that the cooperation between the two companies will continue to grow across multiple fields.
Ruha Elektrik's Assessment on Energy Transformation
Ruha Elektrik’s Business Development Director, İsmail Gökyar, evaluated the transformation in the energy sector with the following remarks:
“Global developments such as carbon emissions from energy consumption, external dependency on energy, and climate change make the transition to sustainable energy models inevitable. Reducing reliance on fossil fuels and embracing renewable energy is critically important for economic growth and energy efficiency. As it has been yesterday and continues today, Ruha Elektrik remains committed to contributing to Türkiye’s economic development by utilizing Hyundai Electric’s technology and strategic solutions. With our motto ‘Stronger Together,’ we will continue to serve Hyundai Electric with the same dedication. We owe our gratitude to all stakeholders who contribute to this mission.”
